Chocolate Covered Oreos

Chocolate Covered Oreos!!!!!

Ingredients:

  • Oreos (regualr or double stuffed) I used double stuffed for this recipe
  • Wilton Candy Melts (use any color, or a variety of colors)
  • Sprinkles.. LOTS of them!
  • Baking Sheet
  • Wax or parchment paper
  • Your imagination!
Take your baking sheet and cover it with your wax or parchment paper. To help keep me on track I placed the cookies on the baking sheet so I had them readily available. I melted the candy melts by using a double boiler, (I prefer this method over using the microwave). Once the candy has melted completely, start dipping your cookies in the chocolate. Once I have dunked a few I then take my favorite sprinkles or decorations and add them while the chocolate is still a little moist. P.S it does harden pretty quickly so you need to work fast!

Valentines Cake Pops

Cake Ball Mix

What you need
  • 1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
  • Lollipop sticks (found at Michael's, JoAnn's, or other craft stores)
  • 32 ounces chocolate chips ( any color, also found at any craft store)
  • Regular cake icing (you will only use about 1/3 of it)
  • Microwavable Bowl
  • Wax Paper
  • Spatula
  • Colored sugars, candies, and other decorative sprinkles
  • Patience! And lots of it!

Bake the cake and let it cool completely on a rack. This is a very moist cake, which is ideal for this recipe. It's best to let it cool overnight at least. When it is completely cool, break the cake into a large bowl. Crumble it with forks or your fingers until it is in fine crumbs. Next, add some of your icing to the cake mixture. Mix well!!
Prepare two large baking sheets by covering with wax paper or parchment. Take a bit of the cake mixture and roll it into a smooth ballRoll mixture into 1 1/4- to 1 1/2-inch balls; If you want to use the lollipop sticks, stick one into the end of each ball, pointing upward, as you put the ball back down on the sheet. Repeat until you've used up all the mixture. As each sheet fills up, put it in the freezer so that the balls harden.
Melt chocolate or white chocolate in a double boiler on the stove. If you want to make the coating a little more resistant to melting, add a small square of wax to the pot and let it melt too. Stir well. Dip each ball into the chocolate until covered. Then proceed with decorating with sprinkles or any other decorative items you have! Be creative and have fun with this, this is a great activity to do with the kids!Put it back on the sheet to harden.Don't refrigerate these; it will cause the coating to weep or melt. They can be frozen, however.

Cake in a cup

Who says you can't have you cake and eat it too? When it's a simple as this, you can have cake when ever you want!

Time: 5 minutes

Cake Ingredients:
1 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of sour cream
1/4 cup of flour
1/8 teaspoons of baking powder
1 egg
1 or 2 drops of vanilla extract

Crumb Topping:
1 tablespoon of butter
2 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon

For starters pick out your favorite coffee mug/cup. Put your 1 tablespoon of butter in it and microwave for 10-15 seconds, just to soften the butter..not melt it. Add in your 2 tablespoons of sugar and  stir until its a creamy texture. Next you will add your 2 table spoons of sour cream, your egg, vanilla extract, baking powder and flour. Stir well!

For the crumb topping, mix all ingredients together until it becomes a crumbled mess! (Who says you can't be messy when your cooking!)

Add the crumb topping to your mug and microwave for 1 minute to start. Check it, if it needs more time add 10 seconds and continue until it's perfect. (My microwave it took 1 min 20 sec)

  • 3 1/2 cups of your favorite marinara sauce or spaghetti sauce

  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper or to taste

  • Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, salt generously, and boil the pasta until al dente, tender but still slightly firm. Drain.
Cook ground beef or sausage and mix in your marinara sauce/spaghetti sauce.
In a large bowl, toss the cooked pasta with the ground beef and marinara sauce, . Season with the black pepper and red pepper to taste, and mix until well combined. Transfer the pasta to an oiled 9- x 13-inch baking dish. Cover the top of the pasta with the shredded mozzarella, and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan.
